Born and raised in Oklahoma, Laurel demonstrated artistic promise early on, earning national recognition through the Scholastic Art Awards in 2010 and receiving an award at Carnegie Hall. She was selected for prestigious programs including the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation residency (2011) and the Quartz Mountain Summer Arts Institute, which she attended three times (2009, 2011, 2012).
In 2013, Laurel relocated to Germany, where she taught art classes while continuing to develop her own practice. During this time, she exhibited and sold numerous works through Galerie Naffouj in Landstuhl. Mentored by the late gallery owner and collector Naffouj—an official distributor of Salvador Dalí’s Divine Comedy series to museums in German-speaking countries—Laurel received invaluable guidance, particularly in the study of color and formal development. Exposure to original works from his collection deeply influenced her artistic growth.
After returning to the United States in 2016, Laurel settled in Massachusetts, where she earned her BFA in Painting. She built a substantial online following, amassing hundreds of thousands of supporters drawn to both her artwork and creative presence. Through digital platforms, she has sold countless original paintings and commissioned works to collectors worldwide.
An interdisciplinary artist, Laurel has expanded her creative practice into music and fashion. One of her clothing designs is currently displayed in the window of the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. She has also formed a musical collaboration with producer Stu Kimball, best known for his 19-year tenure as guitarist for Bob Dylan on the Never Ending Tour.
Laurel is currently a studio artist at Gallows Hill Artists in Salem, where she works daily alongside a collective of 24 artists, continually evolving her practice through exploration, experimentation, and collaboration.
